INVITATION

The 5th Asian Conference on Innovative Energy and Environmental Chemical Engineering (ASCON-IEEChE) is the 15th in a series of Asian Conference on Fluidized-Bed and Three-Phase Reactors, since it started in Tokyo in 1988. Previous fourteen conferences gave us excellent opportunities to get acquainted each other and to share advanced information. After ten successful conferences, the name of conference was changed to ASCON-IEEChE to provide a forum to promote the exchange of technical and scientific information in the academic and industrial sectors in the fields of innovative energy and environment as well as fluidized-bed and multi-phase reactors among Asian countries. We welcome all of you in order to continue the exchange of ideas, information and experiences among neighboring Asian countries. Moreover, our sincere friendship should be fastened by way of this conference in the beautiful Yokohama, Japan's second largest city, which is located approximately 30 km south of Tokyo.

VENUE & DATE

The conference will be held at the Hotel New Grand, Yokohama which was chosen as the 2014 Certificate of Excellence of top performing hospitality businesses by TripAdvisor. Panoramic French restaurant Le Normandie has been recognized as the highest of the top 20 best restaurants in the Asia Pacific region by the global assessment of the Miele Guide. The Main Building, which remains unchanged from 1927, has welcomed many historic figures including General MacArthur, Charlie Chaplin, and Babe Ruth. From the guest rooms, restaurants, and banquet halls in the Tower adjacent to the Main Building, you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the port of Yokohama, such as the Bay Bridge, Osanbashi Pier, and the night view of the Minato Mirai district.

Yokohama is boasts easy access not only to Japan's largest airport, Haneda Airport (Tokyo International Airport), but also to popular tourist destinations such as Kamakura, Hakone, and Mt. Fuji.

The conference will be taken place from Sunday, November 13, to Wednesday, November 16, 2016.
